‘I Came to Win/Go for 1’ Out Now

Land O’ Lakes, Florida – December 16, 2017 – Akademia’s 2016 Best Song of the Year winner Walter Hansen followed up that accolade with the release of I Came to Win/Go for 1 in the fall of 2017.

The album presents a mature take on pop music that incorporates electronic in a way that leaves the audience sonically engulfed. The title tracks guide listeners in while “The Path” and “Bring It” act as the anchors on this EP. An EP that fans of Zero 7 and Thievery Corporation would take to as Walter Hansen brings for what he calls a chillwave style.

Musically Walter Hansen has been influenced by a range of artists and genres. Allowing him to integrate a variety into his style including guitar riffs, ’80s keyboards and more. While his artistry was shaped by his degree from Florida State University School of Music. Armed with his degree and his keyboard, Walter Hansen has recorded with Ben Tankard, performed over 100 shows throughout Europe with the Navy Band, and even took the stage with the USF’s Jazz Band alongside Eric Darius.
