Laughing With The Raindrops Release Debut Album

That Place in Musical Taste and Substance Where The French Way Meets the Highly Adroit Aspect of British Jazz

London, England – June 21, 2017 – Laughing With The Raindrops is the result of long collaboration between Virginie Lacour-Puiboube, Alexander Keen and Gabriel Keen. Three core members influenced by jazz and experimental music in various genres, working alongside a cascade of London-based musicians and friends, they wound up being over 10 artists strong when it came time to record Laughing With The Raindrops eponymous debut.

Lacour-Puiboube takes the lead as the guitarist, vocalist and the woman behind all of the lyrics that are a repertoire of literary and poetic compositions about the complexity of life alongside accessible melodies over more intricate chord structures, with room for Jazz improvisation. She notes of the overall sound, “Real instruments, real players, 100% original.”

Laughing With The Raindrops has already produced two singles in rotation on local stations in the UK entitled “Any Joke” and “That Angolan Guy,” including Wandsworth Radio, K107 Scotland, as well as Jazz Bites Radio and Outbound Gravity Radio in the US.
